Our old Wong Chuk Hang showroom was set in the neighbourhood of an emerging art scene in the south of Hong Kong island. The whole building was constructed in the 70's as a clock factory. After conversion, the purified industrial space allows our simple lined and Ming style Chinese furniture to be displayed with a clean backdrop.
Regrettably, the building's demolition in 2017/18 compelled us to move - this time back to the north shore of Hong Kong island.

我们在黄竹坑的旧展廊，坐落于香港岛南部，是一个活泼新晋的艺术区域。整个建筑物以前是一家时钟工厂。从这工业空间改造的宽宏展廊让我们的家具可以大方展示。
但由于这建筑物会在 2017/18 年间拆卸改建，所以我们被迫再次搬迁 - 这次搬回香港岛北岸的商业区。

We designed this extendable dining table and chair set in year 2000 - TA 23, CH 15A and CH 15B. The stretchers are meant to be crisp and clean, conveying relative modernity out of clear Chinese forms.

The sideboard, CA 80, is a showcase of pure simplicity. Essentially just a wooden block, highlighted by the nicely hand crafted seams and shut lines - and of course the subtle wood grains revealed through the medium brown toned finish.

CH 33, similar to CH 6, is of a classic Ming style south official's hat armchair form. A world of complexity to be explored - see with the lacquered finish, how the wood grains are revealed or hidden across various wooden members facing the light source at different angles.

Ming style canopy bed is metamorphosed to our BD 10, well balanced in its modernity and Ming style details. Shown is the King size mattress version, together with a pair of matching CA 63 with three drawers as night stands.

The design of table TA 1 originates from a piece of antique side table referenced from renowned Ming Chinese furniture scholar Huang Shi Xiang's book - Classical Chinese Furniture. He would not have imagined how the form has a whole new character when finely lacquered and in a dark brown tone.
