Design Highlight
This may be a bed that exemplifies the beauty of Chinese joinery to a new height. Taking the form of a traditional Ming style low table, the bed is designed to have a matching headboard, and the usual recessed waist, bulging aprons and horse hoof feet. What makes the bed special is that the aprons and exposed frames at the rear and front are separate components to be assembled on site by joinery to the main bed structure, which is broken in half in the middle. It takes tremendous woodworking skills and fine crafting to enable the joinery structure to be made well, achieving a rock solid structure with fine seam lines - all without a single metal part.

设计重点
这床可能将明式榫卯的漂亮应用带上新里程碑。外表跟一般明式低台类似，除加上床头板外，也有标准的束腰，外弯裙板与马蹄脚。特点是前后的可见木方与外弯裙板都是单独组件，是在现场才把分成两半的睡床主体经榫卯连接。这需要极高的木工与涂漆技术来制造，才可以达到牢固的结构与精细的接缝 - 全没有用上一个金属部件。
